Arapahoe Community College (ACC) was founded in 1964 in Littleton, Colorado. ACC presently serves 7,500 students in over 100 degree and certificate programs. Arapahoe Community College also has a satellite campus at the University Center at Chaparral, near Parker, Colorado.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for classroom, clinical, and on-campus nursing skills lab instruction. The primary teaching assignment is OB Nursing. Other duties include assisting in program Clinical Coordination, participation in general nursing program activities; assisting to maintain/ obtain clinical sites; lead faculty responsibilities; participation in student advising and registration activities. This position reports to the Nursing Program Director and works closely with other nursing faculty. Additional assignments may be required as assigned by the Nursing Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college / university
* Current license in good standing to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado
* Two (2) years or more of full-time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience
* Two (2) years or more of teaching experience in higher education. (Must have applied for Vocational Credential by starting date)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master’s degree from an accredited college or University with emphasis in OB Nursing.
* Two (2) or more years experience teaching OB Nursing
* Clinical experience in Obstetrical nursing, including client teaching.
* Experience teaching in an Associate degree Nursing education program
* Teaching utilizing current technology including the Birthing Simulator.
* Experience working with diverse populations
* Excellent interpersonal ,oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work as an effective team member
PROJECTED STARTING DATE: August 2007
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with education and experience and in accordance with the 2007-2008 Faculty Salary Schedule. Anticipated hiring range of low to mid 40's. ACC offers a competitive fringe benefit program including health, dental and life insurance.
